This massive oil painting by Ryan Flynn depicts a scene familiar to all Freemasons who reached the level of “Master Mason”. Commissioned for a Lodge’s anniversary, this painting was created with its sister “The Planning of the Great Temple to hang in the east of their Lodge. Each color, pose and lighting source represents aspects of Masonic symbolism.
“I had this painting in my head for 3 years, I knew the symbolism I wanted to incorporate, I knew the lighting, the poses, and the way it all looked down to the colors, and thanks to a few brothers’ trust, I was given the opportunity to produce it. -Ryan Flynn
